In the World Anti-Fascist War, China was not only the first nation to be engulfed in the flames of war, but also the first to establish a national united front against Japanese aggression, serving as a catalyst for the global anti-fascist alliance. The Chinese theater’s containment of Japanese forces played a pivotal role in defeating the German and Italian fascists and forcing Japan’s unconditional surrender. As the main theater in the East, China made indelible historic contributions to the World Anti-Fascist War.
