中国脉搏 | 2024年秋季发布会在即，苹果与腾讯“掀桌子”?

　　近日，有传言称微信可能不支持iPhone 16，iPhone一旦升级到iOS18.2系统，用户将无法使用微信。9月6日下午, 时隔两个月后，苹果iOS系统已有微信版本更新。这也侧面平息了此前的传言。

　　由于苹果将于北京时间 9 月 10 日的秋季发布会上推出首款AI驱动智能手机iPhone 16 系列，此时“苹果与腾讯‘掀桌子’”传闻四起，不排除是有心人士操作。然而，这番操作产生的意外效果是，它让人们能有个更立体的想象画面，当美中竞争导致经济、科技和供应链等领域都走向分岔时，它给世界造成的伤害会有多大，那可不是多买一部安卓备用手机就能解决的。

　　What would happen if Apple removed WeChat from its app store? Given Apple’s market share in China, such an event might seem unlikely, but recently hashtags like “the upcoming iPhone 16 may not support WeChat” trended on Chinese social platform Weibo, triggering widespread speculation among users in China.

　　Apple and Tencent have a massive commercial incentive to work with each other. Since Apple will launch its first AI-powered iPhone 16 series on September 10, the trending hashtags may have relevance to interested parties. However, each new iPhone release will stoke speculation on potential damage to the world economy if Sino-US competition leads to divergences in economics, technology, and supply chains. By then, the issue won’t be solved by buying an Android phone as a backup.
